Senior Merchandiser / Merchandiser

Responsibilities:

• Develop and expand a robust sourcing network throughout Southeast Asia aligned with our product categories and business objectives.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers across Southeast Asian markets to ensure strategic vendor partnerships.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers in Southeast Asia to secure competitive pricing, quality, and service excellence.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering and QA teams to ensure sourced products comply with US, European, and international regulations.
• Manage sample development processes and production follow-up for projects sourced from Southeast Asia.
• Coordinate with QA, Technical teams, and suppliers on sampling, production timelines, and delivery schedules within the Southeast Asia region.
• Work with factories and internal shipping teams to ensure seamless shipping documentation and timely shipments from Southeast Asia suppliers.
• Facilitate smooth order placement and payment processes with Southeast Asian vendors.

Requirements / Competencies:

• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in product development, sourcing, and merchandising, preferably within Southeast Asia trading environments; candidates with less experience will be considered for the Merchandiser role.
• Deep understanding of Southeast Asian manufacturing capabilities, supplier landscape, and market dynamics.
• Experience sourcing in categories such as Housewares/Kitchenware is a strong advantage.
• Solid technical knowledge of materials, including stainless steel and plastics.
• Strong networking skills and practical knowledge of supplier management across Southeast Asian countries.
• Proactive, dynamic, and resourceful with a “can-do” attitude and innovative problem-solving approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably Chinese, Vietnamese, and Thai.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a culturally diverse team.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, mature, and capable of thriving under pressure.
• Willingness and availability to travel extensively within Southeast Asia.
