QA Manager

We're looking for a QA Manager to own quality across multiple products and the QA teams that serve them. This is a leadership role a level above a single-team QA Lead: you'll set quality strategy across the portfolio, grow QA Leads and senior QA into stronger leaders, and build a QA function that scales ahead of the business — not after it. You won't just keep delivery running; you'll raise the bar of everyone around you and build teams that run without you.

Responsibilities

• Own quality strategy, standards, and outcomes across several products/projects and the QA teams supporting them — including peak periods and multi-product sprints.
• Lead, coach, and grow QA Leads and senior QA members into stronger leaders. Success is measured by your people outperforming and outgrowing you, and teams that operate autonomously.
• Build and scale the QA organization. Maintain an always-on recruitment plan and a talent bench ahead of need — hire people better than yourself, and hire for the roles the company will need before the seats exist.
• Own AI-augmented QA. Drive adoption of AI tooling across testing (test generation, triage, coverage analysis, flaky-test reduction) and hold AI competency as a baseline standard for the team, not an extra.
• Define org-wide QA processes, automation strategy, tooling, and the quality metrics that leadership relies on.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and business leaders on quality risk, release readiness, and delivery health across the portfolio.
• Stay hands-on. Remain close enough to the craft to set the technical bar by example, unblock your teams, and make sharp calls under pressure.
• Represent quality in planning, resourcing, and prioritization decisions across competing products and priorities.

Requirements

• 8+ years in QA with a strong hands-on foundation (functional, regression, integration, API), plus a proven track record managing QA teams and/or leads (managing managers or team leads).
• AI competency (required). Fluent in applying AI tools to real testing work and able to drive their adoption across teams. This is a baseline expectation at this level, not a nice-to-have.
• Alignment with company core values (required). High autonomy, high ownership, bias to action, and a bar-raising mindset.
• Multiplier track record — concrete examples of people you've grown into stronger contributors or leaders, ideally people who went on to outperform you.
• Builds autonomous teams. You create clarity and standards, then step back — no hand-holding culture.
• Strong test and quality strategy at the portfolio level — from scope definition to sign-off across multiple products.
• Strong automation strategy expertise (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar). Expected at this level.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills across multiple teams, products, and competing priorities without dropping the ball.
• Actively seeks and hires people who challenge and stretch the organization — hires for capability and growth, not for control.
• High ownership and accountability for your teams' outcomes and cross-team results.
• Calm, decisive, and clear-headed under pressure across peak periods.
• Good English — fluent written and spoken communication.

Nice to Have

• Experience scaling a QA organization through rapid headcount growth.
• High-scale platform or MarTech experience.
• Track record of introducing AI or automation that measurably raised quality or delivery speed.
