OSS Software Engineer & Linux Experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work within a small team of engineers responsible for:

o Software development (primarily C language)

o Execution of comprehensive software testing

o Project delivery in phased releases

 Provide customer support for live operations

 Coordinate software development and support activities with manager and the core development team based in California, USA

REQUIREMENTS:

 Degree in Computer Science or IT related field

 5+ years of software development experience

 Proven experience using the C programming language or reasonable equivalent

 Experience with the following environments is desirable, but not required:

o Large scale software product development

o Real-time environments

o Client/server architectures

o Customer support in live production environments

 Experience with the following IT disciplines is desirable, but not required:

o OpenVMS

o Red Hat Linux

o Sybase RDBMS

o SQL

o Git/Gitlab

o Software testing (Quality Assurance)

 Good English written and verbal communication skills

 Work well in a team environment to meet project deadlines with minimum supervision

 Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills

 Have a strong ability to manage time, handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment
