Data Lead (Model Building)

Key Accountabilities 

• Lead the analysis and interpretation of complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive strategic decision-making and model development.
• Design and develop advanced machine learning models and algorithms to address business challenges and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, define modeling objectives, and deliver customized solutions aligned with organizational goals.
• Apply advanced statistical techniques and predictive modeling methods to support business performance analysis and future strategy formulation.
• Oversee and manage data science projects, including planning, progress monitoring, risk mitigation, and timely delivery of models and solutions.
• Assist the manager in driving strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment of model-building efforts with organizational objectives, and delivering on additional responsibilities as required

Experiences and competencies

• 3 years of experience working with financial data.
• Must have lending experience and model building experience. 
• Must have Hands-on experience with Python, SQL and Jupyter Notebooks for data analysis, modeling and building scorecards.
• Experience in team leadership a positive.
