Junior QA Engineer | PSA

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver (Java/JavaScript).
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for web and mobile applications.
• Conduct API testing with Postman / SOAP UI and validate request/response flows.
• Automate mobile app testing using Appium with Android Studio.
• Validate authentication & security flows (JWT, Cookies, Keycloak SSO).
• Work with Docker / Podman and optionally Kubernetes / OpenShift to set up test environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform test planning, test data preparation, and test documentation.
• Carry out performance/load testing & benchmarking (e.g., JMeter, Locust).
• Understand and test Pub/Sub messaging systems (Kafka, Solace).
• Validate web caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcache).
• Work closely with developers and product managers to identify defects early and improve quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 0–2 years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Basic knowledge of Selenium WebDriver with Java or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Postman / SOAP API testing.
• Exposure to mobile automation (Appium, Android Studio).
• Understanding of web technologies: HTML, CSS, authentication mechanisms (JWT, Cookies, SSO).
• Awareness of Docker / Podman, with interest in Kubernetes / OpenShift.
• Knowledge of test planning, test case design techniques, and test data preparation.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, DevOps-driven environment.

Nice-to-Have (Optional)

• Exposure to Keycloak SSO.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Basic understanding of Pub/Sub messaging systems (Kafka, Solace).
• Exposure to web caching technologies (Redis, Memcache).
• Knowledge of performance/load testing tools (JMeter, Locust, Gatling).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
